About Little Stars Musical Theatre
Get to know us
Little Stars Musical Theatre is a non-profit organisation that delivers Musical Theatre, Dance and Singing classes to children and young adults. We aim to bring the community together by encouraging children and young adults to come together to create and learn about Performing Arts.
We opened our dance home in 2015 after taking over the building from Myres Hutchinson School of Dance. We were able to continue the love of dance in a building that holds so many memories for not only our principal Miss Sammy, who danced here as a child, but for so many more members of the local community who were able to express their love of performing arts at this wonderful venue.
We are very passionate about our community and we feel as though our dance school is a great asset to the area with our strong community values and giving local children and young adults a place to express themselves.
We pride oursleves on our friendly and welcoming atmosphere which is enjoyed by new and old students. We have a strict Anti-Bullying policy and we love how our students positively engage with each other making friends and memories for life.

Miss Sammy
Principal
I am so proud to be the Principal of Little Stars Musical Theatre, a place which offers students, classes ran by experienced, educated and professional teachers. We aim to make performing arts accessible to all children and young adults, we believe all children should be given the same opportunities and experiences; this shouldn't be determined by people's financial situations. This is why we haven't raised our prices since we opened in 2015. Our school is non-profit which enables us to teach through love and passion and not monetary gain. From a young age I dreamed of having my own dance school which was inclusive for all, somewhere that felt like a home away from home. Growing up I experienced so many frosty welcomes attending different establishments and I never found a place that felt friendly for new faces. I am so proud to say that I guarantee our school is super friendly and inviting and we have a real sense of family whether you've been coming for 10 years or 10 days. I hope you choose our school and allow us the chance to welcome you to our Dance Family.

As a young child I didn't have a lot of self confidence, but then I attended dance class and started performing, it was a way for me to completely be myself and not have to worry about what other people thought about me. Dance has helped make me the person I am today and the passion continues to grow each day. Now that I am able to have the opportunity to teach the younger students, it amazes me that I get to see their confidence grow further with every class they attend. Being a teacher, I want to show the students that even if you aren’t the most confident, the more time and hard work you put in the greater the outcome is. At Little Stars we are always encouraging students to be their best. I am currently in my second year at university and have gained more knowledge which I am able to apply when teaching and helping the students. Little Stars has the most amazing values which encourage all the children to be kind and friendly, but most of all it allows the children to be themselves, and to embrace their differences through the same passion they all share.

-BA Hons in musical theatre with contemporary practice
-UAL level 3 extended diploma in performing and production arts

Seeing the children develop over the years is inspiring, whether it’s the excitement in their faces when they have grasped a trick that they have been so determined to learn, or whether it’s the support that the children show one another. Little Stars not only strengthens children’s performing talents, but it teaches them to be resilient, courageous and determined. Performing with Little Stars enables children to not only work as a team, but supports them in building their self-esteem, becoming independent thinkers and enabling them to be their true amazing selves.
